By capturing photographs firsthand during the trip, I documented the authentic essence of the landscapes, emphasizing unique perspectives and intricate details. This approach ensures a genuine and immersive visual narrative that complements the zine’s storytelling.
The colors and mood established in the photographs provided a foundational tone for the subsequent design process, guiding the visual and narrative direction of the zine.Passerby documents Weiyi’s winter journey through the landscapes of Iceland, capturing both the awe-inspiring scenery and the unexpected challenge of testing positive for Covid-19.
Blending travelogue with personal reflection, the project explores moments of solitude, resilience, and introspection in an unfamiliar setting. Designed in an album format, the zine presents a cohesive narrative that balances visual storytelling with personal experience.
Weiyi aims to translate the visual language of blue solitude into an album format, akin to a musical composition that conveys emotions beyond reality. Through a combination of photography and graphic design, the album serves as a curated collection of memories, encapsulating feelings of nostalgia, uncertainty, and introspection in a cohesive and immersive visual journey.
